Vi reste alltså med minibuss i 2,5 timme och därefter i en liten träbåt i en halvtimme och kom fram till ön Don Khone som tillhör 4000 islands i södra Laos. Vi har flyttat in i ett ”floating house” på floden (mer om det senare).
Vi upptäckte snart att det är cykel som är grejen här. Det finns inga bilar och nästan inga motorcyklar, och små vägar och stigar som slingrar sig runt den ganska lilla ön.
Vår första dag på cykel blev en ändlös rad av wow-upplevelser, och ja, det har bara fortsatt sen dess. Men vi börjar med dag 1 i bilder:
