Ja, nu är det faktiskt mindre än två månader kvar. Det känns såklart häftigt, men också lite stressigt. Även om vi på sätt och vis har planerat resan länge så är det mycket som återstår, och mycket som också måste göras på slutet.
Att planera vilka platser vi ska besöka har helt klart varit den enkla biten… Mer pyssliga är allt som har med saker som visum, försäkringar, transfermöjligheter, gränsövergångar mm att göra.
Bara att reda ut vilka visumregler som gäller för varje land tog lite tid att reda ut. Nu ska vi strax skicka in våra visumansökningar till Indonesiens ambassad, eftersom de har en månads fritt när man anländer, men vi kommer stanna åtminstone 1,5 månad.
Visumet till Thailand (för att få stanna i 60 dagar istället för 30 som man får automatiskt) har vi insett att det nog är klokast att åka till Stockholm i september för att ansöka om på plats på ambassaden där. I vanliga fall brukar vi skicka det med post, men då vi inte kan ansöka mer än 90 dagar innan vi reser in i landet så blir det sannolikt för tight att förlita sig på posten. Men ändå enklare med en Stockholmstripp i september än att leta runt i typ Kuala Lumpur efter thailändska ambassaden.
Ja, pust, ni fattar.
Visumet till Vietnam söker vi sannolikt på plats i Bangkok, eftersom vi nog vill stanna där längre än de 14 dagar man får vid ankomst.
Närmast på planeringslistan, avd. det lite mer ”tråkiga” än allt som har med alla ljuvliga platser att göra:
• Jämföra olika reseförsäkringar och beställa den vi bestämmer oss för
• Ta passfoton till visumansökningarna. OBS! Måste ha med många extrafoton för de ansökningar som ska ske under resans gång, tex till Vietnam och Laos.
• Gå igenom alla bokningar och preliminärbokningar av hus/bungalows/rum och dubbelkolla när ev betalningar/slutbetalningar ska ske
• Boka flyg mellan Bali-Singapore och Malaysia-Thailand (fast det är inte jättetråkigt, när man nu har min lätt galna resebesatthet. Mer lite stressande att ha hängande över sig, bättre få det gjort)
