Bad, vänner och dans – Om en midsommarhelg

Midsommarhelgen inleddes med ett bad i Vänern. Årets första i Sverige, och jag var ändå positivt överraskad. Hade förväntat mig en iskallare upplevelse än det faktiskt blev.

Patriks familj har en sommarstuga vid vackra Vänern, så vi åkte dit i torsdags kväll och satt på altanen hela kvällen och njöt av ljuset och så småningom solnedgången.


På midsommarafton kom våra vänner Ann-Louise, Robin, Hampus och Linus. Vi firade en härlig, avslappnad och alldeles lagom midsommar ihop. ÄLSKAR att bara hänga med dessa människor. Vi har verkligen saknat dem under vår resa så känns väldigt bra att få ta igen lite tid ihop nu.

Tog en promenad bort på grusvägen till Hults sommarhem och fick in lite traditionellt firande med dans.

Vänner på väg tillbaka till stugan på eftermiddagen.

Senare blev det bad för tuffa gänget. Uppställda inför detta!

Och så gick kvällen i sällskap av mycket prat, fiske från bryggan för Milo och Hampus, många skratt, grillad fläskfilé, färskpotatis och jordgubbar.

Och på midsommardagen åkte vi vidare till firande nummer två, till våra vänner som har en stuga en halvtimmes resa bort.

Där flyttade vi in i gäststugan för en natt och möttes av denna fantastiskt fina välkommen-hälsning på sängen.

Det var en fin dag men vääääldigt blåsigt. 

Så det var bara Milo, Jack, Adrian och Stella som badade.

Midsommarlunch på dagen och på kvällen detta, grillad svärdfisk, sötpotatis-pommes, vanliga pommes och hemgjord aioli.

Och ännu en härlig kväll på en altan där timmarna bara går. Mycket skratt och här också en del Nya Zeelands-minnen eftersom vi tillbringade flera veckor ihop där i vintras.

Också, som med båda dessa familjer vi hängt med under helgen, så underbart att se alla barnen dra iväg direkt ihop för lek, och hur timmarna bara går och de leker och har så roligt tillsammans. Värmer hjärtat varje gång.

Sen igår eftermiddag blev det hemfärd och simträning för Milo. Han älskar verkligen sin simning. Hans grupp tränar fyra gånger i veckan och han missar inte gärna detta. Igår var det genrep inför dagens simtävlingar, mycket frisim, fjärilssim och bröstsim.

Även den äldre i familjen (längst upp till vänster) idrottade denna dag och spelade match med Strömtorps b-lag i division 6 (tror jag att det är..). Så här glada var de tydligen när de vann över Villastaden, trots den inte helt låga medelåldern i laget 🙂

Idag fortsätter vi vårt just nu väldigt intensiva tempo med jobb, packa det sista och sen simtävling för Milo ikväll.

Direkt efter det drar vi iväg på en roadtrip upp genom norra Sverige. Tältet är packat i bilen och nu hoppas vi på okej väder så vi kan stå fast vid planen att slå upp tältet fritt någonstans på kvällarna, där vi hittar någon fin plats. Planen är att ta oss mot Gävle-trakten ikväll. Vi får se hur det går!
