Circus Circus, Las Vegas – Budget över förväntningarna

Som jag skrev i början av vår Las Vegas-vistelse var det alltså inte riktigt meningen att vi skulle hamna här. Inte på Hawaii heller, för den delen.
Men när det väl stod klart att en av de mer rimliga flighterna från Nya Zeeland och över till Amerika skulle kunna vara Hawaii-Las Vegas, och så vidare färd till Managua i Nicaragua, ja, då blev det ju tid att leta hotell som helst inte skulle spränga reskassan helt men ändå ligga centralt så vi inte behövde lägga så mycket pengar på taxi/buss.

Det blev – Circus Circus.
Ett hotell som är precis som det låter; en cirkus.
Varje trekvart, från elva på förmiddagen och fram till sent på kvällarna, ges ett gratis cirkusnummer av något slag på en ganska stor scen i mitten av hotellet. Det har varit riktigt imponerande akrobatiknummer, med trapetser, enhjuling, handstående-konster och mycket mycket mer.
Milo och Jack har älskat detta! De har säkert sett ett 30-tal föreställningar, minst.


Dessutom finns det en hel arkadvåning för barn. Mängder av arkadspel och spel á la femkamp; pilkastning, bollprickning, hästar som tävlar och en massa annat.

Plus att det finns ett jättestort nöjesfält, inomhus. Ett tjugotal åkattraktioner, varav två (rejält läskiga…) bergochdalbanor, och så 4D-biograf och diverse arkadspel, klättervägg med mera.
Adventuredome, som det heter, känns fint och välgjort.
På hotellet får man en hel del rabattkuponger av olika slag, och det föll sig så att vi råkade få kuponger som gav oss gratis åkband för en dag (kostar 31 dollar i vanliga fall). Och eftersom vi var här så länge, och så att säga ”hade råd” att avstå en dag/kväll på stan, så gick vi all in på Adventuredome och maxade allt. Kul dag!
Dock lite jobbigt för mig stundtals, eftersom jag är den enda vuxna i den här familjen som törs åka snabba karuseller… Så det var bara att ställa upp!
Jack (våran vilde) och jag åkte båda bergochdalbanorna, den ena två gånger.
Ojoj.
Men jag överlevde ju i alla fall…

Ja, som ni hör är det här hotellet som gjort för barnfamiljer. Dock har det ganska dåliga recensioner på diverse resesajter och tillhör alltså budgetalternativen här i Las Vegas.
Jag kan förstå varför, när det gäller casinodelen och barer/restauranger. Känslan är rätt sunkig när man passerar vissa delar på hotellet, inte minst casinot, och en hel del ställen skulle behöva en ordentlig uppfräschning. Poolområdet är också trist och nedgånget, det renoveras just nu. (Men eftersom det är vinter här just nu så är alla utomhuspooler på hotellen ändå stängda, så den detaljen spelade ingen roll i vårt fall)

Plus att hotellet ligger ganska långt norrut på The Strip, så det är någon kilometer att gå innan det man är framme där det mesta händer.
Men allt detta hade vi läst om innan, så vi hade inga högre förväntningar.
Tvärtom blev vi positivt överraskade av stort och fräscht rum (hade också tur och blev uppgraderade till en något finare del av hotellet än den vi bokat själva), och cirkusföreställningarna var riktigt bra.

Om jag hade åkt hit utan barn, och med lite annan budget, skulle jag helt klart välja något annat hotell. Men för våra behov och vår reskassa har detta funkat toppen och varit klart över förväntan!

Vi betalade drygt 2600 kronor för åtta nätter här, inklusive en rabattkupong på några hundralappar som vi hade hos Hotels.com . Det blev alltså bara 325 kronor per natt för ett stort familjerum med två dubbelsängar och stort badrum på 20:e våningen.
Så faktiskt tillhör Las Vegas-boendet det billigaste vi bor på under hela jorden runt-resan, och då med cirkusföreställningar under hela dagarna på köpet.

(Om någon läser detta och funderar på att åka hit, så är mitt tips att inte boka de billigaste rummen i byggnad Manor. De ligger off i en trist sidobyggnad och är tydligen inte så fina. Välj något av tornen istället!)
