Vi såg väldigt mycket fram emot att få uppleva den unika naturen och djuren på Galápagosöarna.
Men det vi inte hade räknat in var att det skulle vara så galet VACKERT. Ett sånt paradis, med stränder som inte liknade något vi upplevt förut.
Vi gjorde ju Galapagos på egen hand, utan kryssning (som väldigt många gör) eller dyra dagsutflykter (vi gjorde en, som blev sjukt lyckad – den får ett eget inlägg framöver!)
Men framför allt tog vi oss fram på egen hand. VÄLDIGT mycket till fots. Och vi förvånades över hur mycket vi lyckades hålla nere kostnaderna och ändå uppleva så fantastiskt mycket som vi gjorde.

Vi valde att bo en vecka på huvudön, Santa Cruz, och fem nätter på ön Isabela. Och sen återvände vi till Santa Cruz i tre nätter på slutet. Därifrån gick också vårt flyg.
Vi hyrde först en minilägenhet på ett Guesthouse, och sen bodde vi på hostel.

Och jag skulle säga att de mest paradisiska upplevelser vi hade (tänker stränder här) var gratis.
Tortuga Bay på Santa Cruz – jag kommer längta tillbaka hit i resten av mitt liv..
Och ön Isabela, där stranden började i den lilla stan där de allra flesta bor och sen typ aldrig tog slut.
Vi kommer berätta mer framöver om våra kostnader för att resa till Galápagos, just för att det var ett resmål vi länge tvekade kring på grund av att vi trodde det skulle bli för dyrt för oss.
Det var heller inte helt självklart att hitta info om att göra Galápagos som budgetresenär, och särskilt inte som budget-familjeresenärer… Så det känns roligt om vi kan dela med oss till fler om hur vi gjort.

Det finns också mycket roligt annat att göra, som att kolla in fiskmarknaden i Puerto Ayora, staden i Santa Cruz. Milo älskade att hänga där och ta bilder och titta på djurlivet, många sjölejon och pelikaner!
I hamnen hängde vi också med sjölejon på kvällarna – de älskade att vila på bänkarna mitt bland alla oss som passerade.

Nu har tiden runnit på och vi har faktiskt ännu mycket mer än så på gång. Så mycket som har hänt och som händer!
Och SÅÅÅÅ många tankar kring framtid/ vad vi är med om/ barnen/ intryck…. Ja, väldigt mycket som pågår inuti just nu, många bubblande tankar, många händelser, många intryck.
