Vi är inne i en väldigt intensiv period.
Helt plötsligt sålde vi huset, och även om det var just vad vi ville och just vad vi hoppats så blev det ändå lite… plötsligt.
Bland allt jobb, som både jag och Patrik är inne i just nu, och all reseplanering, fotbollsskola för Jack och fritids för Milo, alla EM-matcher på tv:n (Jack missar helst inte en enda) och all övrig vilja att hinna med allt vi vill den här sommaren, så har vi alltså sålt det hus som vi älskat innerligt i snart tio år.
Vi flyttar i mitten av juli, så det är alltså bara ungefär en månad kvar här.
Vi bokar in flytthjälp och flyttstäd. Planerar upplägg för packning och förvaring. Allt, som inte slängs eller säljs, ska ju magasineras men vi har inte jättestora ytor för våra saker så det gäller att packa smart (och helst sälja/slänga så mycket som möjligt…) Men en del vill vi såklart ha kvar, så är det ju.

Det är en konstig grej, det här.

Men vi vet ju att det blir bra. Vi vet att vi har gjort rätt.

Nu är det en sista del av vår epok kvar. Att säga hej då till vårat Gräsholmen, vilket känns viktigt.
I går kväll bestämde vi fyra tillsammans en plan för en kommande Farväl-helg:
Vi kommer att äta massa god mat, och vi kommer att göra såna saker som är viktiga för oss just här.
Vi gråter litegrann allihop under tiden vi planerar inför helgen. Men det är bra, ju. Det betyder att vi har trivts här. Och bland de där tårarna finns också en förväntansfull glädje, från oss alla fyra, inför allt som ligger framför.
För min egen del har jag under den här processen, när tvivlen har kommit om vi gör rätt (för det har de gjort), känt att jag ändå är så tacksam. Vi gör detta frivilligt. Vi är inte tvungna att flytta. Vi tvingas inte gå igenom detta för att någon av oss har blivit sjuk, eller på grund av skilsmässa, eller av någon annan sorglig anledning.

Så det kommer att bli bra. Eftersom vårat Hemma är VI. Och inte huset vi bor i.

Som jag har skrivit förut så handlar inte beslutet om att sälja huset om att finansiera Jorden runt-resan, utan om andra saker. Dels en längtan efter frihet – att få gå på planet på Arlanda den 28 augusti och inte vara bundna till någonting mer än varandra.

Inga banklån. Inte en massa månadskostnader som tickar på från ett gäng autogiron. Inget ansvar över vad som sker hemma med ett hus som vi är tusentals mil ifrån.

Och så är det så att vi vill ha mindre ytor att ta hand om när vi kommer hem. Vi har insett att vi älskar äventyrandet för mycket, oavsett om det är en Jorden runt-tur eller en tälthelg i Värmland. Vi tror att det passar oss bättre med något lite mindre än där vi bor nu.

Sen får vi se hur vi känner om ett år. Planen nu är att vi då börjar leta efter något nytt. Men ja, vi får se hur det blir med allt.

  114. Jag förstår verkligen era känslor! Det syns på huset hur mycket kärlek ni har lagt ner i huset. Vi valde att behålla huset än så länge, men i Stockholm innebär även ett hus en rejäl inkomst, så för oss är det även en inkomstkälla. Däremot vore det oerhört jobbigt om något allvarligt skulle hända med huset när vi befinner oss så här långt borta.

    1. Ja det är skillnad med Stockholm såklart! Vi funderade även på uthyrning men på grund av att vi känner att vi nog egentligen passar bättre i något lite mindre framöver så landade magkänslan i detta. Sen återstår ju att hitta något när vi kommer hem…! Men det får vi ta då 🙂

  115. Hamnade in på er blogg för jag såg att gemensamma vänner, Ingrid och Samuel Thunberg, gillat ett av dina inlägg och jag läste nyfiket vidare. (Jag är Sigvard Thunbergs barnbarn)

    Idag när jag läste om att ta farväl av huset kom tårarna. Det var som att jag själv har skrivit texten, allt stämmer på pricken!
    Jag och min familj gör precis samma sak i denna stund.
    Har sålt huset, röjer, slänger, säljer, skänker och magasinerar.
    Packar ihop oss för att under ett halvår komma från vardagen och ekorrhjulet och ta en timeout i Thailand.
    Vi har också valt att sälja huset för att få mer frihet, slippa bekymra oss för det när vi är på andra sidan jorden för att sedan när vi kommer hem igen ta tag i att leta annat lite mindre boende.
    Ett val vi gjort för vår egen skull, för vår familj skull. Ett val som kommer bli jättebra men då och då i packandet kommer det över mig att, vad har vi gjort! Har vi verkligen gjort rätt!!
    Och så fäller jag några tårar…..

    1. Hej Linda! Vad GLAD jag blev av din kommentar! Ja då är vi ju släkt, vi är ju måååånga 🙂 Och jag är dotter till Anders, Sigvards yngsta bror. Så Sigvard, och även Samuel, är mina farbröder.

  116. Det är ju ett jättefint hus ni lämnar – har varit och kikat via ”Hemnet” så det är klart att det måste kännas konstigt – men som du skriver ; Vad är det inte som väntar er på er resa…..??

    (En idé: kan ni inte gräva ner en låda på tomten med några ”speciella saker” så lever ni kvar i fastigheten alt. mura in i grunden som man gör ibland idag när man bygger stora kommunala fastigheter….?)

    PS Tre dagar efter att ni åker inträffar nå´t stort för undertecknad…..har tänkt gå i pension….känns också konstigt. Det var inte så längesen man själv var ute på jordenruntresor i Europa – med tåg, folkabuss (hyrd hos Nygrens i Degerfors) och med hjälp av tummen ?.

  118. Ett så himla fint, starkt och berörande inlägg Ida. Jag kan förstå era känslor och jag tycker att det är så fint det som ni tillsammans har kommit överens om hur att ta avsked av ett kärt hem. Och såklart är det som du beskriver, det är ni som är en familj. Huset är en plats – men det är också ETT HEM och det är ju fantastiskt när man håller sitt hem kärt.
