Vi lämnade Koh Phangan i tisdags, tog färjan till Surat Thani och därifrån flyget till Bangkok.
Vi hade en liten överraskning till mamma och pappa, vi hade bokat en svit med tre sovrum på Chatrium Residence. Inte så lätt att hitta så stora boenden att alla får plats i samma, men nu bodde vi fantastiskt fin i en stor våning på 140 kvadrat med ett härligt vardagsrum med utsikt över stan, en köksdel, sovrummen och två badrum.
Igår hade vi en heldag på stan, med skytrain bort till Siam-området där vi shoppade loss på smått galna men roliga köpcentret Platinum. Hur billigt som helst, en outlet där det är grejer och kläder högt och lågt, men letar man lite går det att göra riktiga fynd. Förra året köpte vi en hel del kläder till Milo och Jack där som har hållit jättebra och vi hittade mycket fint den här gången också.
Senare blev det skytrain ner till floden, och flodbåten till området mitt emot magnifika templet Wat Arun. Till vår glädje fanns det bord på restaurangen Arun Residence (som vi i vintras fick rekommenderade av kusin tillika ex-Bangkokbon Fredrik), och vi åt en jättegod trerätters med storslagen utsikt över templet. Fördrinken intog vi på takterassen i solnedgången. En minnesvärd kväll!!

Svårt att ge råd till andra, jag skulle kanske ha låtit bli Bangkok nu när nyvalet närmar sig (2 feb)
En känsla är att det kommer bli mer och mer av demonstrationer, så det bästa är nog att ha koll på UD:s rekommendationer och kanske ändå välja något annat alternativ. Om ni är i Malaysia finns ju alltid KL, den stan gillade vi också – den gav mersmak.
