Idag var det dags för stora vaccineringsdagen!

Det gick till så att vi åkte till en vaccinationsmottagning i Örebro, där vi under cirka en timmes tid träffade en jättetrevlig läkare och en sjuksköterska. Tillsammans gick vi igenom hela vår planerade/tänkta resrutt, land för land, innan det blev dags för vaccination.

Hon ställde frågor om, till exempel, hur länge vi ska stanna i olika länder, hur vi ska bo, om vi kommer befinna oss mycket på landsbygden i vissa länder, och så vidare.
Vi hade också med oss förteckningar över vilka vaccinationer vi redan har, och så utgick vi från det. (och vi hittade såklart inte Jacks gröna BVC-bok i denna flyttröra, men BVC på Pilgården i Degerfors var snälla nog att på kort varsel fixa en journalkopia som vi fick hämta på väg till Örebro, tack för det!)

Vissa saker var självklara, som att vi alla ska ha fullt hepatit A och B-skydd. Annat lite trixigare och krävde sin planering. Det letades ordentligt i både datasystem och tjock vaccinationskatalog över alla världens länder.
Men det slutade i alla fall med vaccin mot:

• Difteri, stelkramp, kikhosta och polio – för mig och Patrik. Dessa fyra är en spruta, som ingår i det så kallade grundskyddet. Det rekommenderas att man tar dessa vaccin igen efter cirka 30 år. Och eftersom vi bara är vaccinerade mot detta i skolan så var det dags att ta på nytt.
• Gula febern (Inför resa i flera länder i Sydamerika, och vi kommer troligen att vilja till i alla fall Bolivia och Peru, och även Chile eller Argentina)
• Tyfoid
• Malaria (tabletter som vi äter under tiden vi är på ön Flores, Indonesien)
• Hepatit A och Hepatit B (här hade vi det mesta redan men behövdes fyllas på lite)

Ingen billig historia, men det är förstås en självklar utgift.
För barnen kostade det 2000 kronor för de två tillsammans, då var det en hepatit A-dos och Gula febern-spruta.
För oss vuxna blev det en kostnad på cirka 1700 kronor per person. Då ingick två doser Hepatit B, Gula febern, tyfoidvaccin och själva läkarbesöket)
Utöver detta tillkommer malariatabletterna som jag hämtar ut på recept sen, dom vet jag inte vad dom kostar.

Totalt, förutom malarian, alltså 5400 kronor.

Vi fick ett vaccinationsintyg om att vi är vaccinerade mot Gula febern, vilket är ett måste för att kunna resa mellan vissa länder i tex Sydamerika. Annars skulle vi riskera att inte komma in i vissa länder. En värdehandling som ska förvaras väl under hela resan.

Om någon undrar om det gjorde ont… så är svaret nej! Och där är vi överens, allihop. Att ta själva sprutorna var en enkel match för alla inblandade!
