Sista dagen i Luang Prabang jobbade vi som risbönder! Det var väldigt roligt. Vi åkte till Living Land Farm som ligger kanske en mil utanför stan där vi fick vara med och arbeta under en förmiddag, och lära oss hela processen i risodlingens konst.
Mycket intressant! Inte minst som risfälten har följt oss som en kuliss under en stor del av resan, vi har snappat upp lite här och var om hur allt går till och hör ihop, men det var kul att få det samlat i ett svep en gång.
Vi fick testa på många saker, bland annat att ploga på den leriga åkern efter en vattenbuffel! Och vi planterade ris, fick veta hur man skördar, och vi fick testa på hur man – enligt det traditionella sättet – slår bort riskornen från själva plantan när det har växt färdigt, hur man separerar riskornen för att bara få de av bra kvalitet, med mera. 
Vi följde hela risets resa i 14 steg och delta praktiskt i varje del av processen.

Otroligt vacker plats. Risfälten i detta område försörjer byns behov av ris, vilket är MYCKET ris med tanke på att det äts till frukost, lunch och middag + att de även tillverkar rismjöl av riset, till exempelvis rispapper (för matlagning), riskakor, rispannkakor mm.
